The Borough of Glassboro
is located in the heart of Gloucester County, New Jersey. It is a suburban community that prides itself on its hometown family makeup, yet remains an economically viable business district with a unique mix of non-profit, commercial and small businesses.

Glassboro is home to 19,068 residents and also the home of Rowan University, serving 10,000 students and employer to over 1200 local residents.

Glassboro 2010 Budget as Adopted on June 3, 2010

The Borough of Glassboro has initiated four (4) furlough days for Union and non-Union employees in an effort to stabilize the Borough’s tax rate. Therefore, most Borough offices will be closed on May 28, July 2, September 3 and December 27. The Highway Department will serve their furlough days on: June 7, July 12, September 13 and December 20. Glassboro’s Police and Fire Departments are not included in the furloughs and will continue to provide their quality services to the residents.
